The Development Process Of LED Facial Masks

The Development of LED Beauty: The application of optics in medicine has a long history. Using light to treat human diseases is an ancient method; thousands of years ago, countries like China and Egypt used sunlight to treat illnesses. As a new type of light source, LEDs are gradually being applied to medicine and playing a positive role as their biological effects are gradually recognized.

Background: In 1903, Danish scientist Finsen won the Nobel Prize for inventing optical therapy to treat lupus vulgaris. Phototherapy subsequently became popular in Western countries, but due to the lack of suitable light sources and the existence of side effects, it was later replaced by antibiotics, ushering in an era of unprecedented drug dependence. The invention of the laser in 1960 marked a new era for optical therapy. The high brightness, monochromaticity, and wavelength selectivity of lasers have achieved great success in ophthalmology, dermatology, and surgery. Forgotten optical therapies have re-entered the scientists' field of vision. Today, lasers are used in all aspects of people's lives. Laser medicine has significant advantages over traditional medical methods; for example, the minimally invasive nature of laser intervention is unmatched by other technologies.

Innovation For a long time, the high cost of lasers has hindered the development of medical lasers. Since the beginning of the new century, LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology has continuously improved, with rapid advancements in luminescent materials and packaging technologies. Its advantages-high density, multiple wavelengths, long lifespan, and miniaturization-have laid a solid foundation for LEDs to enter medical applications and partially replace lasers. In comparison, the low cost, low energy consumption, and high stability of LEDs give them a wider range of applications in medicine, and their advantages have surpassed those of traditional lasers, such as shorter healing times and fewer postoperative side effects. It should be said that LED phototherapy and LED care represent a technological innovation compared to laser medicine. It is believed that the beam quality of LEDs will continue to improve over time, and LED treatments will extend from the surface of the skin to the interior of the body.
